During an interview with OSEN before their debut stage on 'M Countdown,' Jaehyun talked about the new sub unit's difference from NCT U, and explained, "This time there is a Chinese member WINWIN, and a Japanese member Yuta. It was difficult at first because of the language barrier, but now we can understand each other even without words."

As for NCT 127's concept and music, they explained, "The title song "Fire Truck" is an upbeat dance song that aims to cool down your hot summer, while "The 7th Sense" is more soulful and groovy." 

Next, Taeyong shared the advice he received from EXO. He said, "EXO's Suho sunbaenim taught us how to greet others. He taught us an important aspect as a leader [of EXO]." Yuta also shared the encouragement he received from TVXQ's Changmin, and said, "Changmin sunbaenim said to reach out to him whenever I run into any difficulty."
