We've got different contenders this time; classic beaut Chun Woo Hee and the Girls' Generation's maknae Seohyun (though she's far outgrown her maknae status by now)!
This little black dress is a form-fitting knit one piece with a matching dark sash that hangs just above the waist. The hem stops right at the knees, neither too long nor too short--it's the perfect length! But who pulled this classic black dress off better?
Chun Woo Hee wore this for the premiere of her movie 'Gokseong.' She went completely bare (in a figurative sense), letting the dress speak for itself. Void of any accessories, the actress's outfit is completed with pointed black heels and a casual hairstyle. The only distinguishable part of Chun Woo Hee's look is her red-orange lipstick color. You really can't get any more simple with the little black dress than with Chun Woo Hee's outfit.
Seohyun wore this for the 'Calvin Klein 2016 S/S Platinum collection.' Compared to Chun Woo Hee, she had a little more fun with the dress! The idol added small but noticeable accessories such as feather-style earrings, a patterned, cross-body bag, and studded black heels.
Though I think both ladies are elegant and classy in the little black dress, I'm feeling Chun Woo Hee's look more in this round. Chun Woo Hee's outfit falls a bit flat; she didn't do anything with the dress. But I think that was kind of her point. Overdoing a simple dress like this one would take the attention away from what really matters: the dress. Seohyun looks great, too, but I don't really like her choice of shoes--the studs clash with the overall classy feel of the main piece. Plus something is off about her hair. Perhaps she was going for the 'sexily tousled look'...
