The Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association announced on the 25th that singer Lee Chan Won has donated 100 million won (approximately 74,000 USD) to support victims of the recent wildfires in Ulsan, Gyeongbuk, and Gyeongnam.
According to his agency, “Lee Chan Won decided to make the donation after seeing the news about the wildfire damage.” They added, “He was especially concerned because Ulju, one of the affected areas, is his hometown. He hopes that everyone can safely return to their daily lives and welcome the warm spring.”
This is not the first time Lee Chan Won has stepped up during a national crisis. He also donated 100 million won to Hope Bridge during the 2023 floods caused by heavy rain. He has consistently shown generosity during national disaster situations, continuing to serve as a sincere and positive influence.
Hope Bridge Secretary General Shin Hoon said, “We are deeply grateful for Lee Chan Won’s warm-hearted donation. We hope his thoughtful act of kindness will inspire others to take part in sharing and supporting those in need.”
Meanwhile, donations for wildfire victims in Ulsan, Gyeongbuk, and Gyeongnam can be made through the Hope Bridge website, as well as online platforms such as Naver Happy Bean and Kakao Together Value. For more information, visit the Hope Bridge homepage.
