IOI

'Produce 101' girl group IOI's various schedules for music programs and variety shows on public broadcasting stations such as MBC, KBS, and SBS may be cancelled.

On April 7, a broadcasting representative commented, "Even though before, IOI was not able to show up on music programs, they were able to appear on variety shows before 'Produce 101' came to an end. IOI was near finalizing their appearance on several popular shows. However, things abruptly changed a couple of days following the end of 'Produce 101'. The shows that offered IOI guest appearances cancelled their requests one by one."

According to the representative, the change in decision by the 3 major broadcasting stations comes down to the fact that, "Mnet 'Produce 101's great success has ultimately become a subject of competition. It is most likely that IOI will not be able to appear on major public broadcasts for the next 10 months of promotions."

It seems like overall, IOI will only be permitted to promote on cable broadcasting stations such as tvN, Mnet, JTBC, and more. Fans will not be able to see the new girl group on major public broadcasts for awhile.
