A Busan university professor, 'A', employed in the martial arts department is under fire for assaulting one of his students for refusing his advances.
JTBC's 'News Room' reported on January 5, "'A', a male taekwondo department professor, assaulted his student for the embarrassing reason of refusing his kiss."
Last October 12, at an end-of-the-semester dinner party, 'A' had assaulted a male student in a reckless act of violence. 'A' had erupted in a fit of rage toward the student over the fact that the student rejected his advances. The other students' attempts to stop the professor's violence were said to have been fruitless.

The victimized student said, "The professor tried to kiss me as a means of encouragement, and when I refused him, he not only kicked the leg of my chair but he also flipped the whole table. It was embarrassing especially in front of the other students and I thought, 'Did I pay all that tuition to be abused?' I have no desire to attend school anymore."
'A', on the other hand, is claiming that he "doesn't remember anything due to being heavily under the influence." The parents of the victimized student submitted a video clip containing 'A's assault along with a petitions to the school in response, and it was only then that 'A' said, "I'm sorry" and suggested a conniving colleague professor ordered the students to instigate this.
The school has penalized 'A' by dismissing him from his position, and currently, the authorities are looking into the details of the incident after detaining the professor without booking him.
