One dog owner's handwritten note requesting for the neighbors to refrain from running in the hallway, talking loudly, and just causing a general ruckus is drawing mixed reactions from netizens.
An online community post titled 'A neighbor who put the cart before the horse' was created on December 2, showing a picture of a message which was posted on the front door of an apartment unit. The message reads, "We're a household that raises a dog. If our dog starts barking then the other families will be inconvenienced [by the noise], so please don't run in the hallway or talk in loud voices. Then there will be no instances where the dog will bark noisily. I write this in the hopes that there will be no hard feelings among the neighbors, so I ask for your cooperation and understanding."

While some netizens are reacting to this post by criticizing the owner of the dog with disdainful, sarcastic comments including one that read, "I'm going to stomp around in my apartment, so those who live below me, in case you become irritated, go to a nearby park or something." However, a majority of the people seem to think that this note isn't something to be made a big deal out of. They commented, "I think they wrote this note because people just blamed the dog for being too loud~~if there is loud noise, of course the dog is going to bark and the family is just informing everyone of that.." "I think they just wanted to say that the hallway is not some field to run around and be loud in," "Whatever you say, if you think in a crooked way, it could come off in a negative light. The dog is also a part of the family so it's not like they can move and it seems like a fair request to me. It's not something to be made an issue on here," and, "Then is it okay to be loud in the hallway..? I don't think it's that big a deal. Aren't they saying the dog barks after hearing the noise in the hallway?"
