In Korea's female pro basketball team for Hanabank, there are two players who are from outside of Korea. This is unique because there is a rule that only one foreigner is allowed to be in each team.
The two players from outside of Korea are Bernice Mosby and Chelsey Lee. And what Chelsey Lee stated at the press conference after their recent game has been making headlines.
At the press conference after the November 16 basketball game between Hanabank's team and Shinhan Bank's team, Bernice Mosby was asked, "Hanabank is different from other teams in that they have the effect of two foreign players. What do you think about that?"
When Bernice Mosby was about to respond, Chelsey Lee corrected the reporter in a small voice, "Our team has one foreign player."
That's because although Bernice is a foreign player, Chelsey is not. Her grandmother is Korean, and is therefore considered a Korean who is from overseas, like a Korean-American. She also has joint Korean and American nationality.
Bernice added, "Oh, right. You are Korean," as she laughed.

It's interesting to see that very slowly, the concept of who is Korean is not based on whether they 'look' Korean or not. What are your thoughts?
