Last month, Jun Ji Hyun had offered to gift lunch boxes to a charity once the number of moviegoers to her new movie 'Assassination' hits 5 million.
International humanitarian organization Goof Neighbors revealed through its Facebook earlier today, "Jun Ji Hyun has kept her box office pledge to donate lunch boxes once her movie rallies forth 5 million viewers. The lunch boxes became a hearty meal for 500 children of impoverished families."
'Assassination' surpassed 5 million moviegoers on July 31, a mere nine days after its premiere. Through a video message, Jun Ji Hyun said, "Together with Good Neighbors, I plan to donate lunch boxes with the heart to show thanks to all those who loved 'Assassination.' I wanted to praise the noble spirits of the nameless independence fighters who served their country and serve our neighbors with a warm meal."
