SEE ALSO: Shocking CCTV shows teacher slapping a 4-year-old student for not finishing her kimchi
Following the slapping incident, in which an Incheon day care center teacher was caught on CCTV slapping a 4-year-old with great force, Kim is the second recent Incheon day care center teacher suspected of abusing children.
Kim was reported to the police for treating her students harshly. When the police acquired the day care center CCTV footage from December 16 to January 14, they found clips that showed Kim hitting or pushing the heads of nine to ten of her students.
In the clip shown above, Kim can be seen punching her students in the face. In the first instance, she motions to punch one student, but he backs away as if expecting the blow. She eventually lands a punch and he collapses to the floor before she resumes rummaging through his backpack. In the second instance, Kim punches three other students at the table, causing two of them to fall backwards.
Kim has admitted to the police that she struck the children because they couldn't complete their coloring or Korean studies. The police are currently collecting statement from the children's families.
Netizen comments include, "If children don't listen well and make trouble, then of course you'd hit them. However, she hits not one but several kids like this; no matter how you think of it, this doesn't make sense," "The trashy bitches and bastards who say, 'That could happen,' 'If they were behaving that badly then that can happen,' and, 'That could happen if the daycare teacher is having a really difficult time,' are planting the seeds for these child abuse cases. You are all the same," and, "Of course you can get mad if a child doesn't listen to you… but even if she got mad, she's wrong. She physically handled a child…. The child is not even half her size…. Hitting that child with such force is the same as possessing a deadly weapon."
