Lee Ji Yeon (25)'s lawyer stated recently, "[She] had spontaneously committed the act (blackmailing) because Lee Byung Hun, whom she had been seeing, had told her 'Let's stop seeing each other.'"
Her lawyer further explained, "Model Miss Lee had started to meet with Lee Byung Hun starting about 3 months ago, and had met him on several occasions at her home in Gangnam, Seoul... Around August, Lee Byung Hun had told her 'Let's not see each other anymore', and in her emotionally hurt state, she had blackmailed him with the video."
The lawyer also revealed that the video in question was taken by Dahee in Miss Lee's home when the three of them were drinking wine. They apparently ran out of wine, and during the time that Miss Lee had left to go buy some more, Lee Byung Hun had the lewd conversation with Dahee, which the idol secretly recorded.
The model's legal rep also denied reports that stated that the model had already obtained plane tickets to flee to Europe after blackmailing the actor. "What Miss Lee had in her possession was not a plane ticket, but a list of prices and times for a round-trip flight to Switzerland... This is something we've already told the police."

In response to the statements made by Miss Lee's lawyer, Lee Byung Hun's rep stated, "The content about model Lee blackmailing Lee Byung Hun because of him breaking up with her is an attempt to put him in a negative light... What Miss Lee is saying is not true, and we wonder if this is her attempt at trying to get out of a more serious punishment by emphasizing that it was a spontaneous act [not a premeditated one]."
Another rep also added, "That is an absurd claim that is completely different from the police investigation."
The police are expected to organize their findings and transfer the case to the prosecution today at the earliest.
