BTS' Rap Monster detailed how he was quite the student during his school days.

On Mnet's 'Beatles Code 3D' on April 1, MC Shindong said to him, "They say you were in the top 1% in the nation in terms of school grades." Rap Monster confirmed, "In a trial examination for language, math, foreign language, and social studies, there was a time I was in about the top 1.3% in the whole country," surprising everybody. He added, "My parents wanted me to get a stable job."

Shindong also mentioned, "You already went over English through the TOEIC in junior high school."  Rap Monster said, "My personal talent is English in the hip hop style."

Rap Monster further impressed by adding, "Without dropping from first place in the entire school, I started to do music as a hobby with some Hongdae underground hyungs starting in junior high."
