Comedian Lee Kyung Kyu confessed to wanting to change career paths during a recent interview on 'Entertainment Relay'.
During the interview, the comedian was asked, "Which term do you prefer, the 'father of variety' or a film producer", to which he responded, "Honestly speaking, I'd like to be hugely successful with a film so that I can leave variety behind."
Lee Kyung Kyu was the driving force behind much of Korea's modern variety scene, setting the trend by trailblazing the 'real variety' genre and the 'hidden camera'.
The startled interviewer then asked a follow-up question, "If the father of variety leaves, then what will your juniors do?", to which Lee Kyung Kyu replied jokingly, "That's not my concern".
