Actress Kim Bo Ra has touched hearts by sharing a personal letter to her late friend and fellow actress Kim Sae Ron, who tragically passed away last month.

On April 5th, Kim posted a message on her social media, reminiscing about their early days: “You were 11, I was 16 when we first met at an audition. You were so fascinated by me, chatting non-stop beside me.”
She continued, “From middle school to high school, suddenly you were the one pulling up in a car. You loved getting letters so much — I used to send them to you even when it wasn’t your birthday, whether by text or handwritten notes. Looking back at my photo album, I guess I was feeling a certain way back then too.”
Calling Kim Sae Ron by her nickname, she added tenderly, “You were the youngest and hated the cold. Of all days, it had to rain again. Don’t slip, silly. Just take this letter.”
Alongside the message, Kim Bo Ra shared a short video of the two in their younger days, both sporting matching hair colors and exuding the closeness of long-time friends.
In a final line filled with affection, she wrote: “Joron-ah, you barely ate when you were busy working… Now please eat all your meals before you talk.”
Kim Sae Ron was found deceased and the public has since been mourning the loss of a once-celebrated young talent. Her passing was soon followed by controversy involving actor Kim Soo Hyun, who faced allegations that he dated Kim when she was underage and that his agency demanded ₩700 million in damages after her DUI incident — claims his side has denied, asserting their relationship began after she became an adult and denying any financial neglect.
Kim Bo Ra’s tribute stands out in its quiet sincerity, reminding many of the personal grief behind public headlines.
