Actor Kang Dong Won recently posed for 'High Cut' magazine's December issue, marking his first pictorial since his return from military service.
Kang Dong Won opened up about his two year hiatus due to military service, sharing, "It felt like I escaped from an infinite competition for a moment. The entertainment industry is similar to the sports industry in that the competition is fierce. Living without competition for two years, I felt comfortable and nervous at the same time. During my work as a public service personnel, I realized it was my work but not my original work. My attitude towards work became deeper. I thought, 'I want to quickly finish this and act,'"revealing his new found determination to act again.
When asked what changed the most during his hiatus, the actor shared, "My dish-washing ability. One of my tasks during my service was cleaning the laboratory beakers. When there was a lot, I washed non-stop." He also shared his future plans revealing, "My schedule is already packed for the next two years. I am currently working on two productions and another production is currently in the planning process, and if another schedule is confirmed, I will take part in it. I want to work as hard as possible. Time is most valuable."
Kang Dong Won continued, "I want to work as fast as possible. This is my comeback after two years and I would hate to start off through an advertisement. So I asked director Lee Myung Sae and photographer Lee Jun Ho to do a pictorial where I can show my real self."
