Super Junior's Kyuhyun opened up about idol stars being paid 'large guarantees' (signing bonus) upon agreeing to feature in theater musicals.
The August 1st broadcast of MBC TV's 'Radio Star' invited a few cast members of musical 'La Cage Aux Foiles' to the show.
It was here that actor Nam Kyung Joo addressed the rumors that suggests he is one of the highest-paid actors today.
"That's all in the past," he explained. "I may be amongst the 'A-level' stars, but now it's the idol stars who are receiving the largest guarantees."
Program host and Super Junior member Kyuhyun who has experience acting in musicals then attempted to explain that the situation is different for everyone.
"There are idols out there who are guaranteed a large sum of money up front," Kyuhyun said. "But in my case, I did not make an appearance in musicals after receiving a large guarantee."
"I did 'The Three Musketeers' for a year, and the people who do musicals also seemed to like it, and then they upped my guarantee for my next project," he added.
Kyuhyun then joked that he probably made more than 2AM's Changmin who is currently starring in 'La Cage'.
