Singer BoA revealed why she started crying after Park Ji Min's performance on 'K-Pop Star.'
On the August 26th broadcast of SBS's 'You and I,' BoA, who made a comeback with her song "Only One" appeared as a guest. BoA received a lot of attention as a judge on 'K-Pop Star' and when she was asked about her days as a trainee, she said, "I went through a lot when I was younger. When I first went to Japan and sang live I was horrible and since then I developed stage fright and I started to get afraid." BoA openly shared the hardships she experienced as a singer at a young age.
She went on to say, "When I saw Park Ji Min crying on the 'K-Pop Star' stage, all the memories of when I was younger came back to me and I was flooded with emotion that I began to cry as well," and spoke about the time she teared up during the live broadcast of the show. She knew that a lot of pressure was put on the young Park Ji Min and it made her think about all the pressure and hardship she went through as a young musician.
When asked, "If you could say anything to your past self, what would it be?" BoA answered by saying, "If I was to meet my younger self I would tell her to slow down and take it easy. You don't have to live that intensely. But if I look back to the life I lived, if I did not go through those things, I would not be here today so I have no regrets about my past."
During the show, BoA sang her new track 'Only One' and with Jung Jae Hyung accompanying on the piano, she also performed, 'The Person Next to Me.'
