As popular group T-ara prepares to launch their official fanclub, it seems that anticipation is running high not just among their Korean fans, but amongst their international fans as well.
In April, T-ara announced on their official fan site that they would hold an inauguration ceremony to celebrate the establishment of their fanclub, QUEEN'S. The announcement was met with heated interest as fans around their world flooded the site with requests to participate in the ceremony. Currently, the number of international fans who have applied to take part in the ceremony have topped 70,000.
In response to the explosive interest in the event, the T-ara members released a statement saying, "To thank the explosive response from our fans, we have personally created the official banner for the inauguration ceremony. In order to put on the best performance at the inauguration, we are taking time to practice even in the midst of our busy schedules."
The inauguration ceremony for QUEEN'S is set to be held on July 14 in Seoul. It has been revealed that only 3,500 fans will be invited to the event, resulting in the highly competitive rush for spots.
In related news, T-ara is currently preparing for a Japanese concert scheduled for June, as well as a new album tentatively scheduled for a summer release.
