Girls' Generation and T-ara have been maintaining their growing popularity in Japan, as they recently achieved several album awards for their Japanese releases.
According to the Japanese Record Association, the ringtone for Girls' Generation's "Mr. Taxi", which was released on April 26th, 2011, was certified double platinum for achieving over 500,000 in downloads.
T-ara's debut track, "Bo Peep Bo Peep", was certified gold in the PC download category for exceeding 100,000 in downloads. "Bo Peep Bo Peep" made history by topping the Oricon daily and weekly chart just after its release.
