Co-ed group Sunny Hill (Jang Hyun, Joobi, Misung, Kota, and Seungah) who recently released their maxi single 'The Grasshoppers' is turning the music scene inside out with their new song "The Grasshopper Song".
The members recently conducted an interview with ETO, and wished their fans a happy Lunar New Year.
"The Lunar New Year is nearly upon us. We hope that you will have the energy of the 'Black Dragon' in the blessed new year, and and everything you do this year will be prosperous," they said.
"We have a lot of work lined up for the weekend, but thankfully we can spend the Lunar New Year day at home. Last year's Lunar New Year was right before we released 'Midnight Circus' so a lot of our relatives were concerned for us, but this year, we can confidently go home with our CD in hand and spend time with our families. We may just hold a fan meet-and-greet with our relatives," they continued with a smile.
When asked, "What's the one thing you want to hear the most this year?", Seungah answered, "I have been so busy that I haven't been able to get my fortune read lately. If I ever get the chance to go, I want to ask if our album is going to be 'daebak' this year."
The only male in the group, Janghyun as well as fellow member Kota both answered that they would also like for their album to succeed this year, while Misung and Joobi explained that they would like people to recognize them as 'Sunny Hill', the celebrities.
"Then, what's the one thing you don't want to hear this Lunar New Year?", they were asked.
Misung answered that she wouldn't like to hear people ask, "You think you can do this?" When she was asked to explain her answer, she remarked, "I don't really know what they're trying to say when they ask me that. I really hate hearing people say that to me. Of course I think I can do this."
Meanwhile, Sunny Hill's title song "Grasshopper Song" was written by Lee Min Soo & Kim Eena, the magical duo that composed IU's "Good Day", Brown Eyed Girls' "Abracadabra", and more. The idea for the song was taken from the Aesop's fable 'The Ant and the Grasshopper' as well as a Korean children's song, reinterpreted by Sunny Hill.
