On the January 29th episode of 'Girls' Generation & Dangerous Teens', Hwang Yonghyun left the dormitory and show, giving up on trying to develop himself and change his life with the television program.

A staff member was forced to share the news with the ladies of Girls' Generation while they were on a trip to Japan to receive an award at a ceremony.

"Sorry to be the bearer of bad news on such a joyous day," he said. "I'm even more sorry towards YoonA and Hyoyeon but... Hwang Yonghyun has left."

Upon hearing the news, Hyoyeon's face immediately fell. "I thought they were joking when they told me," she said. "I was in such a good mood because we received an award in Japan, but the news was really shocking."

She continued, "I thought that if YoonA and I tried to convince him to stay, he would..."

The girls were afraid of how this would impact the other boys, but the staff members said they would work harder to fill his shoes as well.
