On an episode of Mnet's Beatles Code that is set to air on December 9th, Shin Hae Chul shared his thoughts about girl groups KARA and Rainbow. He stated, "I was charmed when I saw Rainbow performing their song 'A' on stage. I switched over to Rainbow from Kara." He continued, "I said to myself that I wasn't going to like idols again, but I fell for Rainbow's charm. I'm a 40-year-old Duk-Hu (Oh-Ta-Ku)." In this statement, the term "Duk-Hu" refers to a hardcore celebrity fan. Shin Hae Chul also stated, "A rainbow doesn't only have seven colors. It's not visible to the naked eye, but there are infrared rays and ultraviolet rays, and Kim Se Hwang (N.EX.T's member) and I are those infrared and ultraviolet rays. Therefore, there is no doubt that we exist inside Rainbow." In this episode of Beatles Code, both N.EX.T and Rainbow also appeared as guests, and MC Yoon Jong Shin explained, "Rainbow being here as guests had a little bit of Shin Hae Chul's influence.
