8-member girl group After School has recently been entangled with choreographic plagiarism accusations by German dancer Camillo Lauricella, earning undivided attention from many K-pop fans. The accused dance moves were undoubtedly too identical to be called "mere coincidence," though many would deem otherwise. To refresh your memory... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SRr6bqGgMJI Luckily, the accusations have already reached After School's label Pledis Entertainment, who confirmed that they have seen the video themselves through a phone interview with Newsen on the 26th. Pledis stated, "We saw the video yesterday. We are currently discussing the matter. We will release further statements very soon." From what we can see so far, lack of originality seems to be the number one problem the K-pop industry is currently suffering from, which is causing their music to be quickly downgraded by others. Something really must be done about this mess. Let's hope it starts with After School's Bang! choreography.
