With the unveiling of MBLAQ as a five-member boy band, Rain / Bi also made his own debut as a producer. Seeing as Rain personally chose the members and trained them in fields of singing, rapping and dancing, he obviously played a vital role in the growth and development of his first creation. He even expressed that MBLAQ's debut performance made him more nervous than his own. Although it seems reasonable to assume that Rain still actively manages MBLAQ, his proteges themselves think otherwise. "It is said that Rain monitors all the variety programs the group appears on, so how has his response changed over time?" MC Jun Hyun Moo asked MBLAQ during the filming of KBS 2TV 'Star Golden Bell.' The always witty G.O replied, "For a month after our debut, he was heavily concerned about our image, but now that it has been three months, hyung doesn't even know anymore and he told us, 'Do whatever you guys want!'" 2AM's Seulong also piped in about his own record producer and current CEO/founder of their music company. "At first, Jin Young hyung would advise us 'Don't do this or that' and 'Behave yourselves,' but then he left for America." It's not surprising that Rain and JYP share similar managing tactics though, because the former was trained by the latter for a long time and the two developed a friendship as respected figures in the Korean entertainment industry. Although the "chic idols" may feel neglected, Rain doesn't even have to worry about them as they appear much more comfortable now--both on stage and on television. Unless they respond with a "Oh yeah no" to Rain's offer of eating together again, I got a feeling (woohoo~) that MBLAQ will be stickin' around for a while. This episode will air on the 6th.
