I think MAMA (Mnet Asian Music Awards) just lost to the 1st Melon Music Awards, as SNSD and Super Junior are officially attending. How exciting! I'm not sure if you have forgotten but SNSD and Super Junior were two of the most active groups in the first half of 2009. Just because new groups and others took over the second half doesn't mean they deserve all the attention. I'm mostly excited to see their special stages but this brings up a lot of questions. It's going to be hard to tell who will take the Artist of the Year, Song of the Year and Album of the Year awards. We know the New Artist of the Year will most likely go to 2NE1. But I see a huge battle between 2PM and SNSD for the Artist of the Year. Also, will Gee take home something this time around? Hopefully, Melon will be a little more rational in its decision making process for the winners. Whoever the winners are, you'll find out on the 16th.
