Earlier this week, the late Jang Jin Young's untimely passing caught much media attention - aside from being a talented and well-known actress, the unveiling of an admirable love story kept secret from her loved ones swiftly captured the hearts of many. Aside from having loving friends, family and devoted fanbase, Jang was beloved and well-respected by celebrities as well. Jang's body was moved at 5:57PM yesterday afternoon to Seoul Asan Medical Center's mortuary in Pungnapdong. A steady flow of people attended her wake today, including her husband, family, friends and colleagues. Familiar names like Lee Byung Hun, Song Hye Kyo, Song Yoon Ah, Kim Seuk Hoon, Kim Min Jong, Ahn Jae Wook, Chat Tae Hyun, Um Ji Won, Uhm Jung Hwa, Hwang Jung Min, Jung Joon Jo, Kim Ah Joong, Yoo Sun, Han Jin Min, Lee Jung Jae and many others were in attendance to say goodbye. Despite the marriage that has caused a stir, the media make sure to keep Mr Kim's privacy intact. In particular, Song Hye Kyo expressed her grief for her fellow actress and close friend. The two worked together in the SBS sitcom SoonPoong and cultivated a strong friendship even after the filming was done. During the wake, Song could not stop crying, and had to get support to keep herself steady. Furthermore, on the first day of this month, idol G-Dragon paid his respects on his Me2Day, writing, "I learned of this news too late... I wish a good afterlife for the deceased. Let's take the time to pray." Though the Big Bang leader wasn't particularly close to Jang, he respected her as a senior on the entertainment scene. Despite the media spotlight, Jang Jin Young was able to find privacy in Los Angeles, USA, where she found solace last July for treatment and care.
