The 9 members of Girls' Generation who have been enjoying high popularity thanks to their song Gee, will end all album activities at the end of March . Other than some who will be taking on CF shoots, filming, etc most of them will be taking a well-deserved break. In a statement from SM Entertainment, "After appearing on the 23rd March episode of MBC Come to Play, Girls' Generation will not be appearing on any other variety shows for the time being." In addition, the girls will be taking part in the Pattaya International Music Festival 2009 with Shinee this weekend and will not be appearing on Music Bank, Music Core, Inkigayo. Gee has achieved big success on the charts, winning K-Chart on Music Bank for a record 9 consecutive times, Mutizen on Inkigayo for 3 times and even experienced success overseas in Thailand, winning the Channel [V] Countdown Asian Chart for 4 straight weeks and being Top Artist of the Month for February. The exit of Girls' Generation and Gee means that there will be a power vacumn on the charts. Who will be the ones to replace them?
