Young Korean singers have been popular in Asia for some time now, but it's beginning to soar in Japan. Because of this popularity, The Korea-Japan Cultural Exchange invited some of "Korea's most talented" (their words not mine) artists to the "Hallyu Music Festival". The "Hallyu Music Festival" is scheduled to be held in the Shibuya Ward of Tokyo on September 3rd. Shibuya is known as one of the fashion trend-setting centers of Japan, particularly for young people, and as a major nightlife area. The Festival will consist mostly of concerts. Some of the artists who were invited were Kim Bum Soo, Wheesung and the group Paran. Kim Bum Soo, actually had a fan meeting in Japan back in May and plans to start his music career in Japan in the near future. Wheesung, best known around these parts for his sexual relationship with Ivy will have his first concert in Osaka, Japan on June 15th. He also has a new album slated for release in September. Paran, had three concerts in Japan recently and their popularity in Japan is gradually growing. I'm all for Korean-Japanese Cultural Exchanges, especially when it involves me and some sexy Japanese Ladies - but it seems like Korea is sending the Junior Varsity squad to this Music Festival.
