On the August 16 broadcast of KBS2's 'The Seasons - Zico's Artist', SHINee member and solo artist Onew appeared as a guest ahead of the release of his 3rd mini album, 'Flow'.
On this episode, Onew performed songs such as "All Day", "Stand By Me" (originally by SHINee), "Farewell Taxi" (originally by Kim Yeon Woo), and more. In particular, the singer delighted fans by performing a snippet of a new song from his upcoming album, "Hola!", which is also the title of his solo fan-con.
During his chat with MC Zico, Onew stated, "Up until recently, I felt too much pressure to stand in front of live audiences and sing like this. But I started to change my perspective and decided that I should go up in front of more people and let them hear me sing. I'm now performing with the mindset that even if it's not going to be perfect, I'll still do my best."
Earlier this year, Onew parted ways with his debut agency, SM Entertainment, to sign on with a startup agency, GRIFFIN Entertainment. Regarding this transition, the singer mentioned, "To be honest, because I was with such a good company for so long, it felt like I had grown too comfortable. So I said, 'Let's challenge myself. Let's see what I can do'. It's only been 3~4 months now since I left. But I'm only doing solo promotions on my own. My promotions with SHINee will still be with SM. It's not exactly that I left, it's more like my permanent home and my temporary home."
On what's changed for him as a solo artist promoting under a new agency, Onew remarked, "These days, I'm having a lot of fun being in charge of my own A&R duties."
