IVE's Wonyoung experienced a real UFO sighting – or so she claims!

On October 21 KST, the IVE members appeared as guests on 1theK's recurring video series 'Idol Backboard' (lit. trans.). In the clip, the members took to the internet to look up online fact sheets written about them, elaborating on the different facts that appear and confirming or denying the claims made. Perhaps the most surprising fact revealed during the video was that Wonyoung had once seen a UFO.

On her profile, the fact read, "She said she actually saw a UFO. She was having a cup of tteokbokki at night after a hard practice, and she happened to look at the sky, and she said a flashing object moved at high speed and then disappeared." After reading the fact out loud, Wonyoung surprised the production team as well as the other IVE members by immediately confirming it was true.

"I tell this story everywhere. Yujin reacted like this whenever I told it," Wonyoung commented, pointing out her groupmate Yujin, whose expression remained somewhat skeptical.

"I don't buy it," Yujin laughed.

"A light sparked in front of my eyes, and it disappeared with a shoosh," Wonyoung insisted. Leeseo then asked her if she was sure that she wasn't dreaming, with Yujin quickly agreeing and giving her a high five. Liz also continued by saying the alien sighting might have just been caused by Wonyoung being dizzy and seeing stars in front of her eyes.

"But actually, it doesn't matter if you don't believe me, but I saw it," Wonyoung responded to the members' skepticism, with Rei agreeing that you cannot tell someone that they didn't see what they feel they actually saw. "DIVE [IVE's fandom], you don't have to believe me, but I saw it with my own eyes that day. If you think about it, the universe is bigger than Earth, so won't there be one?"

Meanwhile, IVE is currently promoting their 1st mini album 'I've MINE,' featuring lead single "Baddie."
