Lee Mi Joo makes new leap as a solo artist in 'Movie Star' debut MV

Former Lovelyz member Lee Mi Joo is ready to take her next leap forward as a K-Pop solo artist with the release of her first single album, 'Movie Star'.

 

The single album contains two tracks, the title track of the same name "Movie Star" and a ballad b-side, "Miss You". With her solo debut album, Lee Mi Joo showcases not only her versatility as a singer and dancer, but also as an actress, starring as the female lead of her own MV. Familiar faces such as actor Lee Yi Kyung and Lee Hyori make appearances in the story-centric MV, which depicts Lee Mi Joo's dreams, aspirations, as well as her personal journey in the entertainment industry so far.

    Wasn't my type of song, but I'm happy seeing people hyping this on twitter. Mijoo already caught my eye in Lovelyz for her personality, even before she became well known as the ''crazy variety-dol''. It's been great seeing her thrive and become famous in variety shows, but it's just really great seeing people acknowledge her as an idol as well.
