Rapper Jessi defended 'The Masked Talent' contestant Seo Min Kyung.

On the September 22nd episode of the MBC show, Seo Min Kyung, who went under the mask of "The Wave," shared her difficult road to becoming a singer. She revealed, "I became frustrated with my dream to become a singer because of my looks, not my singing skills. My dream is to become a singer with overflowing confidence like Jessi. I sing Jessi's songs a lot, but I feel as if I didn't do my best today."

Jessi then said honestly, "Your breathing was a little off, but your voice and talent together make a very good performer." She also gave the contestant encouragement and support by defending her against the naysayers of her past, stating, "I want to hug you. You're so pretty. You did well. You're this pretty. Who said you weren't?"
