Girls' Generation's Hyoyeon opened up about her strict trainee days at SM Entertainment.
Hyoyeon featured as a guest on the August 4th episode of 'Tell Me Something' with hosts Super Junior's Shindong and YouTuber Quaddurup, and she talked about what it was like being a trainee at SM Entertainment. The Girls' Generation member revealed she was riding a scooter to boba tea spots since she was 12 years old in secret.
She said of herself and her fellow trainees, "We went to get peach boba tea, but we were dead once we were caught. We had to write justification letters. We weren't allowed to go out." Shindong agreed that trainees weren't allowed to leave the building.
As for whether Hyoyeon ever thought about leaving throughout her 7 years as a trainee at SME, she responded, "No. The company supported me with a lot of things. We all took acting and language classes, and we were taught sight-reading and music diction."
In other news, Hyoyeon is making a solo comeback with "Second" featuring BIBI on August 9 KST.
