NCT's Shotaro impresses with sleek solo performance in 'Wake Up' dance video

Shotaro is ready to show fans what he's got!

On July 4 KST, the NCT member dropped a video titled 'Wake Up' through the group's official YouTube channel. The video turned out to be a short yet impressive R&B solo dance performance, with Shotaro dressed in a large brim hat and performing dynamic choreography around a chair.

Meanwhile, Shotaro was introduced to NCTzens for the first time through NCT 2020's 'Resonance' promotions and is said to have previously had a following on TikTok with his impressive cover dances.

He only trained for 3 months before he debuted, and the song he debuted with broke SM records on YouTube and is currently the highest viewed NCT video on the platform! Not only that, but the NCT 2020 comeback he debuted with went on to smash records in NCT album sales and took home several awards at MAMA 2020 and AAA 2020 (including Album of the Year!), and the song he debuted with won 3 music show awards (before then, NCT U had yet to win 1st on an award show since its debut in 2016). I could go on, but Shotaro joining NCT is so amazing and he's already achieved so much in the short amount of time he's been debuted!
