Oh My Girl's Hyojung, Mimi, and Binnie will be participating in the third OST for the SBS drama 'Racket Boys'.
On June 24, OST distributor company MUSIC&NEW released a video on their official YouTube channel, where the Oh My Girl members made a surprising appearance. Here, Hyojung, Mimi, and Binnie introduced their OST as a remake track of the 1988 love song "Teacher, I Love You" by Hans Band. They stated, "The original song was about the feelings of a first love towards a teacher, expressed with a young girl's emotions. But this time, the original song's lyricist changed the lyrics so that anyone, regardless of age or sex, can recall their precious first love memories from when they were young." They added, "It will be better if you listen to the song while reflecting on your first love from your younger days."
The original 1998 track "Teacher, I Love You" expresses the feelings of a pure girl who has a crush on her teacher, and the song is still considered a top masterpiece track today. At the end of the video, Oh My Girl's remake track was slightly revealed. The snippet of their OST gave viewers feelings of nostalgia of the original song, but also aroused curiosity by hinting at the unique musical color of Oh My Girl.
Oh My Girl's remake soundtrack of "Teacher, I Love You" will be released on June 29th at 6PM KST.
Oh My Girl has so many talented vocalists, they should be singing more OSTs!
