On April 4, KST, rapper Gil addressed long-standing rumors of discord with former Leessang partner Gary, stating plainly that there is “no bad blood” between them.
In a newly uploaded video titled “(Gil-parasite Ep.1) Gil is back, with the crazy PDs lol” on his YouTube channel 'Binnari Gil Sung Joon,' Gil made a surprise appearance on a female BJ (streamer)’s live stream as part of a content series where he “crashes” other creators’ broadcasts.
During the broadcast, viewers sent in a variety of comments and requests, including one asking Gil to sing G-Dragon’s “POWER.” He complied, quipping, “I do everything I’m told.” When a viewer commented, “Just don’t drink, that’s all,” Gil acknowledged the sentiment, replying, “Right? I think so too. I just shouldn’t drive.” He also clarified that he doesn’t drink anymore.
One viewer directly asked, “Is it true you’re not on good terms with Gary?” to which Gil responded, “No, there’s nothing like that between us.” The BJ followed up, “Oh, is there such a rumor going around?” and Gil simply replied, “Yes,” while dismissing it with a calm demeanor.
When fans requested a rendition of Leessang Blues, he obliged immediately, once again joking, “I do whatever people ask.”

Gil debuted in 2002 as part of the hip-hop duo Leessang with Gary. However, after Gil was caught multiple times for driving under the influence, the duo’s activities came to a halt, leading to an unofficial disbandment. In 2022, Gil hinted at a possible comeback to mark their 20th anniversary, but Gary publicly shut down speculation, declaring, “Not true. We’ve disbanded.”
This exchange led to widespread rumors of a rift between the two, but Gil has now reaffirmed that there is no personal conflict between them.
