NEWBEAT is keeping up its momentum with another striking move.
On March 12th at 6 PM KST, the group will unveil ‘HICCUPS’, the second pre-release track from their upcoming first full-length album ‘RAW AND RAD’, across various music streaming platforms alongside its official music video.
‘HICCUPS’ is a track characterized by an addictive hook, unique beats, and a bold sound. The song metaphorically represents the internal and external challenges that boys face as they grow, using ‘hiccups’ as a symbol of their struggles and breakthroughs. It also serves as a narrative continuation of the first pre-release track ‘JeLLo’, portraying hiccups as a precursor to the moment before their full potential is unleashed.
Since its release on March 5th, ‘JeLLo’ has already made waves, securing the 9th spot on the K-Pop Radar Weekly Fandom Chart. With its powerful old-school sound and visually striking short-form music video, blending elements of animation and sci-fi, the track has gained significant attention among K-pop fans.
NEWBEAT, a seven-member boy group under Beat Interactive, includes Park Min Seok, known from Mnet’s ‘Boys Planet’, and Jeon Yeo Yeong, formerly of TO1. Even before their official debut, the group built a global fanbase through street performances and busking tours worldwide.
Beyond their dual pre-release strategy, the group is gearing up for a grand debut with a full album release and a global debut showcase on Mnet—an unconventional approach that has heightened anticipation for their official entry into the K-pop scene.
NEWBEAT’s second pre-release track, ‘HICCUPS’, drops on March 12th at 6 PM KST. Their first full album, ‘RAW AND RAD’, will be released on March 24th at 6 PM KST, followed by their global debut show, ‘Drop the NEWBEAT’, airing at 8 PM KST on Mnet and M2’s YouTube channel.
