g.o.d member Kim Tae Woo to launch new girl group as producer.
According to a report on March 25th KST, Kim Tae Woo’s agency GEMSTONE E&M is currently preparing to launch a girl group with plans to debut next year.
Kim Tae Woo will lead the project as the group’s producer. A creative team centered around Kim will oversee the group’s concept and debut preparations.
Kim Tae Woo made his debut in 1999 as a member of the five-member group g.o.d. He quickly earned attention for his powerful vocals, becoming one of the most renowned main vocalists among first-generation idols. As a solo artist, he further cemented his reputation with a distinctive musical style and became one of Korea’s leading male vocalists.
In addition to his singing career, Kim has showcased his songwriting and composing skills, having released numerous self-written tracks. He also has experience producing for other artists, including Jisoo Park (KISS) and several others.
The news of his upcoming girl group draws added attention in light of recent successful idol launches by first-generation idols. Notably, JYJ’s Kim Jaejoong recently produced the girl group SAY MY NAME, which made a strong debut. Expectations are high for what kind of unique charm Kim Tae Woo’s group will bring to the K-pop scene.
Meanwhile, GEMSTONE E&M also represents another god member, Danny Ahn.
