The family of actress Kim Sae Ron is filing a defamation lawsuit against YouTuber Lee Jin Ho.

Today (17th), Kim Sae Ron's family, represented by lawyer Bu Ji Seok from the law firm Buyou, will submit a defamation complaint to the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency, accusing YouTuber Lee Jin Ho of spreading false information.

The law firm Buyou stated to Xportsnews that before submitting the complaint, they will hold a press conference to explain the background of the lawsuit.

Last month, Kim Sae Ron was found dead. Following her passing, Lee Jin Ho made the videos related to Kim Sae Ron private. He had previously exposed aspects of her personal life, making claims such as, "Kim Sae Ron held drinking parties with friends during her period of self-reflection," "self-made dating rumors," and "voluntary marriage rumors."

On the 16th, Kim Sae Ron's family stated, "Lee Jin Ho mocked the photos we posted because we couldn't get in touch, calling them 'self-made dating photos.'" They added, "He claimed that the reason Sae Ron did this was because she learned about society only through scripts and filming sets from a young age, which led to a lack of normal emotional understanding. He denied the existence of her family members, who are completely fine."

Additionally, they stated, "He also alleged that Kim Sae Ron used vulgar language and mistreated staff." They also mentioned that many staff members attended Kim Sae ron's funeral, but her agency, Gold Medalist, did not.

In response to Lee Jin Ho's reasoning for making the videos private, where he stated it was out of a desire to give Kim Sae Ron a chance and that he had not posted anything unfavorable about her—the family criticized, "Which of the things you said are factually correct? After saying such things, do you think your own family and children believe that you did this out of concern for Sae Ron?"
