
Actor Ha Jung Woo is undergoing emergency surgery for acute appendicitis.
On March 25th KST, the team behind the film ‘Lobby’ released an official statement: “While on his way to attend scheduled events, director and actor Ha Jung Woo was diagnosed with acute appendicitis and is now undergoing emergency surgery.”
They continued, “Although Ha Jung Woo was eager to attend the event, he will be unable to participate in today’s press screening, Q&A session, stage greeting, and counseling event for ‘Lobby’ as per his doctor’s recommendation.” The statement also expressed sincere apologies to the journalists, industry professionals, and audience members who had planned to attend.
Despite his absence, the ‘Lobby’ team will proceed with the scheduled promotional events with the rest of the cast. The production team added, “We ask for your understanding and sincerely hope for Ha Jung Woo’s swift recovery.”
‘Lobby’ follows the story of Chang Wook (played by Ha Jung Woo), a research-focused startup CEO who takes on his first-ever lobbying golf match in an effort to secure a 4 trillion won government project. The film is set to premiere on April 2nd.
