Fan voting for the 34th Seoul Music Awards, one of K-pop’s most prestigious award ceremonies, will officially begin on March 24, the organizing committee announced.
The ceremony is scheduled to take place on June 21 at Inspire Arena in Incheon. Fans will be able to cast their votes through the official mobile app ‘K-POP SEOUL’, as well as partner apps such as ‘My One Pick’ and ‘Fandom Chart’. Voting results will play a significant role in determining winners across key categories, including the Main Award, Rookie of the Year, Popularity Award, and Hallyu Special Award.
The Popularity Award (based on domestic voting) and the Hallyu Special Award (based on international voting) will be determined entirely by fan participation, drawing strong attention from K-pop fans around the globe.
Voting will take place in two phases. The first round will run from March 24 at 12:00 p.m. to April 12 at 11:59 p.m. (KST), followed by the second round from April 21 at 12:00 p.m. to May 10 at 11:59 p.m. (KST). Final results will be announced during the awards ceremony.
Nominees are selected based on Circle Chart data, covering releases from January 2024 to March 2025, with artists who have made significant contributions to K-pop over the past year set to compete.
Meanwhile, voting for the newly introduced Rising Star category is also underway. This category targets idol groups in their third year (debuting between January 2022 and December 2024) and aims to provide more opportunities for artists from small and mid-sized entertainment companies. The first round narrowed 60 initial candidates down to 30 for the next stage, with artists such as YOUNITE, BB-UP, AT2MAJOR, TEMPEST, FANTASY BOYS, ONEPACT, ALL HOURS, ATBO, TNX, and D1MENSION making the cut.

The organizing committee stated, “The Seoul Music Awards is a celebration of the K-pop artists who shone over the past year, and a platform where fans have a direct say in the results. Every vote from fans is a meaningful show of support for the artists.”
Established in 1990, the Seoul Music Awards continues to play a major role in elevating K-pop’s global presence. This year’s event is expected to feature spectacular performances and draw strong interest from fans worldwide.
