T.O.P denies rumors of rejoining Big Bang.
Former Big Bang member T.O.P has addressed speculation about his possible return to the group, stating that his stance remains unchanged.
On February 11th KST, a representative of T.O.P clarified, “The name ‘TOP’ on Choi Seung Hyun’s social media profile has not been newly added or changed—it has always been there.” They further emphasized, “His position regarding Big Bang remains the same as he expressed in a recent interview.”
Recently, online communities speculated about his return after noticing his name listed on Big Bang’s official YouTube account, which displayed “G-Dragon, Taeyang, T.O.P, Daesung.”
Additionally, T.O.P’s official social media profile still includes the name “TOP Choi Seung Hyun,” fueling speculation. Some fans even anticipated a full-group comeback after he changed his profile picture.
However, in a recent interview, T.O.P made it clear that he felt unfit to return to Big Bang after leaving the group. Last month, during a press interview for Netflix’s 'Squid Game 2', he opened up about his departure.
In an interview, he stated, “After my military discharge, I felt that I had caused too much harm to Big Bang. I decided to leave because I didn’t want to bring any more trouble to the group.”
He further explained, “When my contract ended, I chose to leave after the ‘Still Life’ project. I felt ashamed to return to Big Bang. If I work alone, I can take full responsibility for my past mistakes, but if I rejoin the team, that wouldn’t be the case. I didn’t want to burden them.”
With speculation continuing over his possible return, T.O.P has now reaffirmed that his stance has not changed, putting an end to the controversy.
