‘The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call’ successfully holds fan meeting.

The Netflix series ‘The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call’ successfully held its dopamine boost emergency fan meeting on the 10th at CGV Yongsan I’Park Mall, responding to the overwhelming love from fans. The event received an astonishing 20,000 applications in just two days through Netflix Korea’s Instagram, resulting in a 114:1 competition rate. The lucky attendees greeted the cast—Ju Ji Hoon, Choo Young Woo, Ha Young, Yoon Kyung Ho, Jung Jae Kwang—and director Lee Do Yoon with enthusiastic cheers as they appeared on stage. The actors and director, in turn, could not hide their joy at the passionate response.

The fan meeting featured behind-the-scenes stories, games, and interactive events, creating a warm and engaging atmosphere. Reflecting on the show’s success, Ju Ji Hoon shared, “We worked hard, studying for 12 hours a day before filming. Seeing the positive comments and fans appreciating the actors has made these past two weeks incredibly rewarding.” Yoon Kyung Ho added, “Thank you for overcoming the fierce competition to be here. Thanks to the fans, my Lunar New Year was filled with celebratory messages.”

The cast also reacted to the numerous reviews, comments, and memes circulating online. Choo Young Woo said, “I’ve enjoyed reading all the reviews and comments,” while Ha Young expressed gratitude for a particular comment that read, “I only planned to watch halfway but ended up binge-watching all eight episodes in one go.” Jung Jae Kwang humorously noted, “Viewers keep asking me to put them under anesthesia. Thank you for loving ‘Park Kyung Won’ so much.”

Yoon Kyung Ho, who has been enjoying immense popularity with nicknames like “Yurimping” and “Petit yulim,” recreated his iconic line from the series, “Shut up and live, or don’t and die!” on the spot, earning thunderous applause from fans.

During the Q&A session, a fan asked about the cross-edited sequences of Yang Jae Won’s daily life. Director Lee Do Yoon explained, “I wanted to incorporate it to highlight his growth throughout the story in a concise yet impactful way.” Choo Young Woo added, “Since the filming order aligned closely with the story’s progression, I truly felt Jae Won’s growth during the final surgery scene with professor Baek Kang Hyuk. It was an emotional moment for me as well.”

One fan requested that the actors give the audience a nickname, leading Ju Ji Hoon to suggest “Helicopters,” saying, “Our helicopters have saved us.”

The event continued with trivia games, a photo session, and a lucky draw, providing a truly dopamine-charged experience. As the event concluded, the cast and director expressed their heartfelt gratitude:

• Ju Ji Hoon: “Above all, I am most grateful to the viewers. I also want to thank director Lee Do Yoon and everyone who worked tirelessly on this project. We’ve received so much good fortune because of you.”

• Choo Young Woo: “Hearing so many fans say they binge-watched the whole series at once makes me so happy. Thank you to my fellow actors, the director, and everyone here today.”

• Ha Young: “I’m grateful to director Lee Do Yoon, my co-stars, and our ‘Helicopters.’ I hope this year is filled with happiness for everyone.”

• Yoon Kyung Ho: “This role has been a defining moment in my career. I owe it all to my castmates and the fans.”

• Jung Jae Kwang: “I hope everyone stays happy and healthy. I love you all.”

• Director Lee Do Yoon: “Thanks to you all, I’ve experienced an incredible amount of love and support. I hope to create more great projects in the future.”

Screenwriter Choi Tae Kang also shared a message with viewers, saying, “Knowing the effort everyone put into this series, I feel proud that our hard work was not in vain. Thank you for loving ‘The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call.’ I will cherish the love you have for each character.”

As the series enters its third week, the overwhelming response to the fan event further cements its syndromic popularity. ‘The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call’ is currently streaming exclusively on Netflix.
