'Culinary Class Wars' Napoli Matfia Chef Kwon Seong Jun's father has passed away.

On February 25, it was reported that Chef Kwon Seong Jun's father, Kwon Hyuk Chan passed away at the age of 61. Kwon Seong Jun shared the news of his father's passing through his social media stating, "My father, who was in good health, suddenly passed away."

It was reported that the chef is currently overseas for work but will be returning to Korea as soon as possible. He expressed his sorrow and said, "I am currently overseas for work, and I received the news of my father's passing as soon as I landed. There is no way to return to Korea right now, so I am frustrated and heartbroken as I must wait until tomorrow night."

In his final message, Kwon Seung Jun said, "I would appreciate it if you could pray for my father's peaceful journey. I will return as quickly as possible and pay my respects."

The funeral hall has been arranged at the 1st funeral hall of Chung-Ang University Hospital and the burial ceremony will take place on February 27.

Meanwhile, Chef Kwon Seong Jun, who also goes by the name Napoli Matfia, rose to fame after winning the popular Netflix show 'Culinary Class Wars.' He participated as one of the underdog chefs and rose to become a star chef.
