The source continued, "While talking about Koo Jun Yup and Barbie Hsu, both of us couldn't hold back our tears," revealing, "His eyes are severely swollen from excessive crying, yet he hasn’t been able to receive proper treatment. He refuses to eat or drink, leading to noticeable weight loss."
Another Taiwanese media outlet, ET Today, reported that concerns over Koo Jun Yup's declining health are growing among his acquaintances and friends around him. According to the outlet, he has been unable to organize belongings that hold memories of Barbie Hsu and remains in anguish, constantly reminiscing about her. Despite efforts from friends and family to console him, it has proven difficult. ET Today stated, "Given that Koo Jun Yup was known for his lively and positive personality, this incident has undoubtedly left a devastating impact on him."
Koo Jun Yup has canceled all of his scheduled activities. He has withdrawn from DJ performances, television appearances, and all official engagements, choosing to grieve in solitude. Mirror Weekly reported that he currently has no plans to resume activities, as he appears to need time to heal emotionally.
Barbie Hsu's younger sister, Dee Hsu, is also said to be in deep shock over her sister’s passing. She has requested a six-month leave from her ongoing variety show, 'The Girls Talk.'
Meanwhile, Koo Jun Yup and the bereaved family are discussing arrangements for Barbie Hsu’s final resting place and a memorial space. According to Taiwanese media, the family is searching for a location where they can honor her memory.
Taiwan’s renowned funeral service company, Longyan, has proposed creating a special memorial space for Barbie Hsu. Mirror Weekly reported that Longyan is willing to invest approximately 10 million New Taiwan Dollars (around 303,753 USD) to design a small memorial garden. Zhongshi News stated, "This garden is likely to be themed around nature and flowers, which Barbie Hsu loved, to commemorate her life." The bereaved family is reviewing Longyan's proposal positively and is carefully selecting the site. ET Today added, "Once the memorial garden is completed, it will serve as a place of solace for Koo Jun Yup and the family to visit frequently."
