Kim Jae Joong's parents shared their stories of pursuing entertainment careers in their youth during the January 31 episode of KBS2's ‘Fun-Staurant’.

Kim’s father, known as "the most handsome man in Gongju", revealed that he once dreamed of becoming an actor and even appeared in magazine photo shoots. His mother recalled participating in a nationwide singing competition at 17, only to have her dreams halted by familial opposition. She added, "Jae Joong fulfilled the dreams I couldn’t achieve."

During the episode, Kim Jae Joong surprised his mother on her birthday, appearing from a large gift box. His mother expressed joy, saying, “Have you ever seen a flower this beautiful?”

The heartwarming interaction, coupled with nostalgic family anecdotes, captivated viewers, showcasing Kim Jae Joong’s deep affection for his family.
