In an exclusive interview with Billboard News, Jisoo opened up about her fresh pop sound, the timing of her release, the creative process behind her track 'Earthquake,' BLACKPINK’s upcoming summer tour reunion, and more.
Jisoo shared that she dedicated herself fully to crafting 'AMORTAGE' after wrapping up filming for 'Newtopia,' her latest on-screen project. “I really wanted to gift BLINKs with songs that would make them happy,” she explained. The mini-album serves as a heartfelt tribute to her fans, reflecting her artistic growth and deepened musical expression.
A standout track from the album, 'Earthquake,' showcases Jisoo's evolved sound and creative direction. She revealed that she drew inspiration from a variety of sources, including legendary pop icon Britney Spears. “I watched her music videos as a reference,” Jisoo admitted, acknowledging her admiration for the singer and the influence she has had on her artistic vision.
When asked about BLACKPINK’s much-anticipated reunion, Jisoo expressed optimism and excitement. “We’ve all grown a lot through our solo projects,” she said. “So when we come back together as a group, I believe we’ll create an even greater synergy.”
