January 16, 2025 – Source Music has released an official statement regarding the health condition of GFriend (Girlfriend) member Yuju and her upcoming schedule. 

According to the announcement, Yuju recently experienced vocal discomfort during her recovery from a cold and sought medical attention. 

[NOTICE] GFRIEND Yuju's Health Status and Schedule Update

"Hello, this is Source Music.

We would like to inform you about GFRIEND member Yuju's health condition and schedule.

After recovering from a cold, Yuju experienced discomfort in her throat and sought medical attention. She was diagnosed with vocal cord inflammation and has been advised by medical professionals to refrain from using her voice, including singing, for the time being.

Following this medical advice, we have decided to minimize Yuju's vocal use during GFRIEND's scheduled performances this week. As a result, during the GFRIEND 10th Anniversary concerts scheduled from January 17 (Friday) to January 19 (Sunday), Yuju will only participate minimally in singing and speaking as much as her condition allows.

Future schedules will be adjusted depending on Yuju's recovery progress, ensuring no strain on her condition. Decisions regarding her participation will be made with her health as the top priority.

We kindly ask for your understanding and support. We will do our utmost to prioritize Yuju's medical treatment and recovery.

She was diagnosed with vocal cord inflammation and advised to refrain from extensive use of her voice for the time being. As a precautionary measure, Source Music has decided to limit Yuju's vocal involvement in the scheduled GFRIEND 10th Anniversary concerts, taking place from January 17 to January 19, 2025. 

While she will still appear on stage, her vocal contributions and participation in speaking roles will be kept to a minimum to ensure her recovery. Future schedules will depend on Yuju's health progression, with careful consideration to avoid any strain. 

Decisions regarding her participation in upcoming activities will prioritize her well-being. Source Music emphasized its commitment to placing the artist's health first and expressed gratitude for fans' understanding and support during this time.
