According to Star News, the drama "Slowly, Intensely" (tentative title) began filming on the 12th.
Written by renowned screenwriter Noh Hee-kyung, "Slowly, Intensely" is set in the 1960s and 1970s broadcast industry, focusing on the stars and the people who create them. Song Hye Kyo reunites with writer Noh Hee-kyung for the third time, following their collaborations in the 2008 KBS 2TV drama "Worlds Within" and the 2013 SBS drama "That Winter, the Wind Blows."
Notably, Song Hye Kyo drew attention for her transformation with a "short cut" hairstyle ahead of filming. In a recent appearance on the YouTube channel "Yeojeongjaehyung," she revealed, "I cut it for my next project. It's a work by Noh Hee-kyung. It's a period drama set in the 60s and 70s."
In addition, Song Hye Kyo shared her deep connection with Noh Hee-kyung. Appearing on the tvN variety show "You Quiz on the Block" after 28 years, Song Hye Kyo discussed how, following Noh's advice, she had written daily gratitude journals every morning and night for five years. "You need to love yourself first in order to give love to others, and only then can you see a better world." This revelation heightened expectations for their third collaboration, built on a foundation of deep trust and friendship between the two.
Also starring alongside Song Hye Kyo is Gong Yoo, who reunites with director Lee Yoon-jung for "Slowly, Intensely." The two previously collaborated on the 2007 MBC drama "Coffee Prince"
Meanwhile, 'Slowly, Intensely' is a 22-episode series with a production budget estimated to exceed 700 billion KRW (approximately 546 million USD). The production team plans to complete filming in the first half of this year and release the series on Netflix.
