'Plot Twist' by TWS becomes the third ever boy group song in history to top Melon's year-end chart + 2024's top 100 revealed

South Korea's largest music streaming platform, Melon, has unveiled its '2024 Year-End Chart'.

Sparkling at #1 on 2024's 'Top 100' chart is "Plot Twist" by TWS, becoming the third ever boy group song in Melon's history to top an annual chart. Past annual chart toppers include Big Bang's "Bang Bang Bang" in 2015 and iKON's "Love Scenario" in 2018.

K-Pop girl groups once again demonstrated their charting power in the top 10, with (G)I-DLE's "Fate" landing at #2, followed by aespa's "iron-flavored" hit "Supernova" at #3. IU's "Love Wins All" claimed the #4 spot, while DAY6 landed two past hits in the top 10 - "Time Of Our Life", released in 2019, ranked #5, while "You Were Beautiful", released in 2017, came in at #7.

Lim Jae Hyun's "Rhapsody of Sadness" took up the #6 spot, while rookie girl group ILLIT secured another place in the top 10 with "Magnetic" at #8. Finally, Lee Changsub of BTOB and QWER rounded out the top 10 with "Heavenly Fate" (#9) and "T.B.H" (#10).

Among K-Pop girl groups, NewJeans claimed the most spots in the top 100 with a total of 9 songs, while fellow 4th generation representatives aespa, (G)I-DLE, and IVE each secured 5 spots.

K-Pop boy groups who entered 2024's top 100 alongside TWS included RIIZE, who successfully claimed 3 spots with "Love 119" (#25), "Get A Guitar" (#45), and "Boom Boom Bass" (#95); and PLAVE, who took up 2 spots with "WAY 4 LUV" (#72) and "Our Movie" (#98). Meanwhile, DAY6 also charted 4 songs in the top 100, with their 2024 releases "Welcome To The Show" and "Happy" ranking #17 and #38 respectively.
