Girl group NewJeans is expected to wrap up all pre-scheduled activities with ADOR soon. Many are interested in what's next for the ongoing legal dispute between the girl group members and their agency.
According to media outlet reports, NewJeans more or less wrapped up their pre-scheduled activities with ADOR after their attendance at the '39th Golden Disc Awards' on January 4 KST. The members have a few remaining advertisement-related schedules to complete, after which there are no additional activities scheduled.
Previously, during their press conference held in November of last year, NewJeans announced the termination of their exclusive contracts with ADOR, citing ADOR's failure to fulfill its contractual duties as the reason for the termination. The members then stated, "We will continue to participate in all pre-scheduled activities with ADOR," but emphasized that they were no longer artists affiliated with ADOR.
Since then, the members have begun carrying out independent activities, notably through their Instagram account @jeanzforfree as well as through interviews.
As of now, many are interested to know what will happen to the group name "NewJeans", and whether or not member Hanni will be able to renew her E-6 visa for foreign individuals in the culture and arts industries before its expiration in early 2025.
